WHAT style of photography do you take?

As you’ll see from the recent work, Davina prefers using the natural light when shooting interiors, which means not turning lights on, unless there is a really beautiful lamp and the light it casts creates an amazing ambience. Unlike real estate photographs which are highly edited and etched, the images Davina captures is much more ambient and natural. However, if a client requires “real estate” style imagery this can be arranged, however there will be an additional fee for editing.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? DO YOU TRAVEL?

Davina is based near Brunswick Heads in Northern NSW, but is happy and willing to travel. Davina has served many clients from as far as Central Qld to Tasmania. Prices that are quoted will include travel for clients within 3 hours drive of postcode 2483. Travel further than that will be explained, in the full terms and conditions that will be sent with your enquiry.

what information do you need for the shoot?

In order to make sure that images that are aligned with your brand and appealing to your client, you (or your client), will be asked to complete a short questionnaire. This should take you no more than 10 minutes. A call will be held prior to the shoot to confirm all of the details including any aspects for styling.

In what format will I receive the images?

You will receive high-res images in JPEG format which are optimised for social media / web use. Images are sent via Google Drive.

DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE EDITING?

The images will be edited for social media, web and editorial purposes. The photography fee includes standard editing such as cropping, adjusting the highlights, contrast etc. A preference is to not to over edit the images as they loose their authenticity. If more detailed editing is required, an additional fee will be quoted. 

ARE THERE LICENCE FEES?

The standard use of the images (digital) are included in the rates and are for 1 business, however there are additional fees associated for more broad use. Licensing fees will be explained further with your enquiry.

DO YOU ONLY DO BRANDING AND NO PHOTOGRAPHY?

The branding package accompanies the photography that Davina has completed. Unfortunately it is not a service provided independent of images. It makes much more sense Davina capturing the images of your beautiful space and then being able to create a brand story to accompany your vision - it all goes hand in hand.

WHAT DO YOU RATE AS STYLE?

Everyone’s style and sense of aesthetic is very personal so we can’t judge anyone for their own style. We have worked with many different homes and spaces from mid-century 4 bedroom homes to eco and fully sustainable cabins in the middle of a paddock, so we understand the variety. Personally we love a space that has good use of natural light (even if it’s filtered and moody), natural textures with fabrics and timbers, unique external features (whether it’s a big sweeping landscape or a cosy courtyard) and flowers and greenery.

HAVE YOU EVER HOSTED AN AIRBNB?

Yes - Davina was a Superhost of her beachside home in New Brighton. It was a thrill to receive Superhost status in the first 6 months of hosting and so many compliments on the attention to detail, communication and aesthetics. So she understands the importance of getting everything right so images tell the full story of the property.

do you photograph for builders, commercial spaces and interior designers?

Absolutely - Davina has captured homes either being fully built or recently renovated and has also photographed retail stores, startups, skincare businesses, bookstores and hotels.

WHAT IS LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY?

Lifestyle photography is a more relaxed way of shooting a space and often includes ‘talent’ (i.e. a person or a small group) to give the scene some action and showing people in a real life situation. This can be done in the Full day package, however it is up to the client to source the ‘talent’. Many clients will use themselves or friends as often the shots don’t always show their faces, just hands or shots taken from a distance.

There are some required items of information which will help provide the best response to your enquiry. Once Davina has received this, you will have a response within 24 hours with the next steps explaining how we can work together.
