A considered eye for the people and places, that mean business
Photography, mentoring and workshops for regional Australian businesses
helping businesses see themselves more clearly
I’m Davina, a photographer, qualified trainer and assessor, and small business consultant based in the Northern Rivers.
I started with a camera and a commercial career, and somewhere between the two I found what I actually do; help businesses see themselves more clearly; in their imagery, their thinking and their direction.
My photographs are shaped by natural light and quiet detail. My workshops and mentoring are shaped by years working in and on businesses. Both come from the same place, a belief that clarity is the most powerful thing a small business can have.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not quite , and that’s a completely normal question asked in professional photography. Your booking includes a licence to use the images for specific purposes, such as your website, organic social media, and digital marketing and AirBnb. This allows you to use the images confidently for your business while the photographer (me) retains copyright. Some uses — like paid advertising, third-party use, print campaigns, or property sales — aren’t automatically included and may require an additional licence. If you’re ever unsure or planning a new use, just ask. I’m always happy to clarify what’s included or provide the right licence so you can use the images properly and without stress.

I prefer using the natural light when shooting interiors, which means not turning lights on, unless there is a really beautiful lamp and the light it casts creates an amazing ambience. I may use some light modifiers if the room is dark or the weather is misbehaving. Unlike real estate photographs which are highly edited, etched and extreme use of a wide angle lens, the images are softer and have character. What this all means is that the photograph is very authentic and gives a much more realistic impression of you or your interior. For portraits, I use a soft strobe light and bring professional equipment to capture your portrait with the best lighting.

I am based in the Northern Rivers (NSW), but I’m happy to and willing to travel. I have photographed for clients as far north as Central Queensland and far south as Tasmania. Travel fees may apply, but lets talk first and find out more about what you need.
